Why do we use Kinesiology and what benefits can we expect?
There are many different ways that 'K Tape' can be applied to achieve different results. On application it acts like a second skin.
Here are some of the main benefits:
If you think that your horse could benefit from a K-Tape application or if you would like to learn more about how to use K-Tape please contact us
A programme of regular stretching is a vital part of caring and achieving the best for your horse. Regular stretching can help ensure that its musculo-skeletal system stays healthy and supple. For any athlete involved in exercise it would be unthinkable to begin training without mobilising and stretching the joints before and after exercise and your horse is no different. A regular stretching routine is the best preventive advantage that you can give your horse. There are many benefits of passive stretching including:
Have you noticed that your horse is not performing as well as they have done in the past? Is your horse displaying signs of discomfort when being exercised, napping, bucking, rearing or bolting? Has your horse developed a reluctance to be tacked up or even to come to you to be caught in the paddock? These may all be signs that your horse has restrictions in their muscles and fascia and is therefore experiencing discomfort, pain and possibly compensatory locomotion. Some horses may even appear lame due to fascia and muscular tension as they begin to use their bodies differently to avoid using the contracted muscle. If this all sounds familiar then your horse will certainly benefit from a massage therapy session. Even if you're not experiencing any issues a regular massage therapy is the best preventative treatment you can give your horse. I use a variety of methods including, hands on massage, trigger point therapy, fascia release and muscle energy release technique and each session is tailored to meet your horses individual needs. Please call or message me to arrange an initial consultation.
Do you want to keep your horse healthy and happy and working at their best for as long as possible?
if so this is a great opportunity to learn some key skills that can help you do just that.
You will learn:
You will receive a comprehensive booklet with all the information from the day with handy photos
and diagrams, and also a massage map to help you get started with your own massage routine.
This a great ‘ hands on’ day with your own horse with relevant content to you and tailored for the needs of
your horse.
If you would like to hold a workshop at your yard or have any questions please get in touch.

Having spent the day with Denise on this clinic, I can say how informative it was and no matter how long you have spent around horses you will learn something new. She is so passionate about the subject its infectious.
I have been passionately interested in horses from an early age. I started riding at 11 years old and haven’t stopped since. I have owned my own Irish Sports Horse, competing locally in dressage, show jumping and clinics. Following suspensory ligament diagnosis and treatment I managed her rehabilitation back to fitness which sparked my interest in equine convalescence and how owners can help reduce injury through massage and stretching programmes. After qualifying as a registered equine massage therapist, I started my own equine massage therapy business and treat horses from ‘happy hackers’ to professional competition horses.
I am a qualified and registered member of the International Institute of Animal Therapists (IAAT) and am fully insured.
